It’s All His Fault

He’s to blame. He’s the reason I’ve neglected my blog. Yep, you can pretty much blame it on this squishy little face, long delicate fingers, and those feather soft lips.

We first locked eyes on October 19th, in the early a.m. It was an instant connection. I wouldn’t expect anything less, of course. I did carry this little guy for nine months during sweltering heat. Still, I wasn’t prepared to fall this hard. Again. For a third time.

I love breathing him while he sleeps.

So, there you have it friends. That’s where I’ve been for the last ninety days. I’ve been getting to know my sweet boy and he’s been getting to know me. We still have lots of kinks to work out, especially the waking up every two hours part. For now, we just wanted to pop in to wish you a Happy New Year!

Hope life has been treating you kind.

      1. We had a very quiet holiday season. My recovery has made doing anything special a bit of a challenge. However, this too shall pass. I am looking forward to seeing your smiling face and wonderful posts once again.

    1. Daydreams, I’ve missed you too lovely friend! Last time we spoke was back in October and you were close to celebrating your birthday. Happy Belated Birthday! Hope this year is filled with blessing after blessing!

As for making cute babies, don’t tell my husband that. He may be tempted to go for another one.

    1. Amy, I’ve missed you too! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried responding to your email and every time I was interrupted with a “Mom, come here . . . I need you.” Duty calls. You know how it goes, mothers are never off the clock!

    1. So true! All of our babies are luckier than they know. We hand feed them, change their dirty diapers, rock them to sleep. What I would give for someone to tip toe around me while I slept!

    1. MJ, beautiful on the inside and out! As always, your speech is seasoned with salt. And yes, maybe a LOVE button is in order. Then again, I am a bit biased.

    1. Steph, my girl! I’ve been meaning to email you FOREVER. But, things got rough at the end of my pregnancy so I shut down my blog.
We need to chat mama! I want to know how you’re feeling and when you’re due??
